When I was little, Joe, my father, was at sea. I was at home in a sea of amazing women: one head girl in charge, Dede, my big sister; two cheerleaders, Adei and Kai, my little sisters; and my first true love, Lena, my mother.
I’ve been surrounded by women from day one. I am fond of them and I love them. They walk with me, they wake with me, they want me; and I want them to know that they are special. These other days, they find me annoying but they find me with grace, and I find them amazing.
This playlist celebrates you – woman. Dance in the shower with it, fight your battles with it, celebrate your wins with it, make love with it. Let it calm you down when my species annoys you. These are your flowers; these are your royalties.
